Venues
The venues for Braemar Mountain Festival are all close to each other. We suggest the best place to park is either at your local accommodation or in the central car park off Balnellan Road located behind the village butchers shop. This car park also houses public toilets and an electric car charging point.
The Venues
From the central car park, the Village hall is a two minute walk on the Mar Road, Castleton Hall is above the car park and Braemar Mountain Sports one minute away at the junction with the Invercauld Road and Glenshee Road.
Braemar Village Hall

Braemar has two village halls! Braemar Village Hall is between the Co-op and the Gallery on Mar Road.
This is the venue for many of our talks, films and most of the evening events.
There is limited road side parking, but plenty of spaces close by at the entrance to the Highland Games arena near Braemar Brewery, or in the village car park behind Braemar Butcher.
Castleton Hall

Castleton Hall is Braemar’s second village hall! It is located on the left hand side of the A93 if approaching from the south, just after Braemar Lodge. If approaching from the east, it is on the right on the main road, just after the turn off to the village centre.
There is limited parking at Castleton Hall – further spaces can be found in the car park as you turn into the village centre behind the Butchers. At this car park there is foot access to the hall from the ramped footpath at the back of the car park.
Castleton Hall is the venue for the ski tech sessions and the meeting place for many of our instructional events.
Braemar Golf Course

Braemar Golf course is located on Cluniebank Road which is the road immediately in front of the Fife Arms Hotel. The club house is about 800 metres from the village centre.
There is parking at the golf club
The golf course is the location of our Cross Country Ski sessions with Huntly Nordic Club
Braemar Mountain Rescue Centre

Braemar Mountain Rescue Centre is located on the left as you head south on Glenshee road in the direction of Glenshee Ski Centre. Turn left on the driveway just before the Youth Hostel drive and follow it to the rescue centre (which is not visible from the main road).
There is no parking at the rescue centre, so if attending the tour please walk from the village, which takes just 5 mins.
The centre is the venue for the Mountain Rescue tour and the Mountain First Aid sessions.
Highland Games Pavilion

The Highland Games Pavilion is situated within the Highland Games Park at the west end of the village. Turn left at the Hazelnut Patisserie/Braemar Brewery.
There is parking beside the Pavilion.
The Pavilion is the venue for our opening night Mountain Food night.
